OVERVIEW

Reforesting Failed Industry transforms the traces of an industrial environment through sound, light, textile intervention and live performance.

Created in the context of Chemnitz European Capital of Culture 2025, the work explores the relationship between industrial decline, regeneration and nature.

CONCEPT

Organic forms enter a space shaped by industry, creating a temporary landscape between memory and transformation. The work asks what remains after a system has failed, and whether abandoned industrial space can become a site of reflection, growth and renewed imagination.

SOUND

Original music and live sound form an acoustic layer within the installation. Rather than illustrating the visual environment, the sound expands it and creates a new perception of distance, material and movement.

INSTALLATION

Translucent textile structures, projected light and the industrial architecture overlap to form a fragile, temporary ecosystem. The installation changes with wind, darkness and the position of the audience.
