DESCRIPTION
Avaritia – In the Forest of Memories is an audiovisual project exploring greed, memory and the fragile relationship between human beings and nature.
The forest becomes more than a landscape. It is a space of memory — a silent witness to human presence, intervention and disappearance.
The project moves between intimate reflection and a broader ecological perspective. Personal memory, collective history and the natural environment gradually merge into a single visual and sonic space.
At its centre lies the question of what remains after human desire has passed through a place.
CONCEPT
The title Avaritia refers to greed — not only as the desire for material possession, but as a broader impulse to dominate, consume and transform.
Against this stands the forest.
Slow, persistent and seemingly silent, it carries traces of what has happened within it.
The project explores the tension between these two forces: human desire and natural time.
Memory becomes embedded in landscape.
The landscape becomes a witness.
Silence becomes a form of testimony.
SOUND & IMAGE
Original music and moving image form a continuous audiovisual composition.
Sound does not merely accompany the images. It creates another layer of memory — sometimes present, sometimes distant, sometimes almost disappearing into silence.
The visual language moves between the physical reality of the forest and a more poetic, metaphysical perception of landscape.
Rather than explaining the subject directly, the work creates a space in which image, sound and memory can coexist.
